Powai: lake promenade master-plan consultancy
Reviewed 3 November 2026. An earlier Powai claim described ₹18.5 crore as the cost of lake promenade redevelopment. The cited report describes a proposed ₹1.85 crore consultancy appointment to prepare a master plan. The figure is a planning fee, not the total cost of completed works. The published guide now displays the correction.

Powai: date of tree-clearance report
Reviewed 3 November 2026. A Powai guide claim about a proposal affecting 126 trees was dated 1 December 2025, before its cited report appeared. The report is dated 28 July 2026. It describes an approval and an agreement for rehabilitation flats, not completed work.
Powai: IIT Bombay's early years
Reviewed 3 November 2026. An earlier claim implied that IIT Bombay started teaching in Powai in 1958 after an Indo–Soviet agreement. Teaching began in temporary premises in Worli in 1958 while the Powai campus was being developed. The formal agreement followed in December 1958.
Powai: lake contest reporting date
Reviewed 3 November 2026. An earlier claim about the “Spot the Lake” contest used 1 December 2025 without establishing that date. The guide now gives the cited report's 28 December 2025 date and attributes criticism of the authorities' response to campaigners.
